I am sorry Kevin. All I see are the different shocks(or just the springs), battery strap, and battery posts. Is there something I am missing?
I would like to know what wing that is on his buggy though. Is it a Blast(LA251)?

The shocks are a HUGE difference. They are basically big bore 10th scale shocks.

The Velvets are the best shocks on the planet already. Do 2wd buggies really need big bore shocks to make them handle better?
Will 99.9% of Kyosho RB5 drivers notice a difference?

I think so, only because they will allow you to be able to drive the car harder with even more suspension cushion.

Hmmm... at the expense of high-CG added weight and cost. On a wheeler, maybe, but I don't see them being anything but expensive jewelry on a 2wd buggy.

Well, they may help but I won't be getting a set. You know a full set front and rear will be over $100 and that is too rich for my blood. Also, we have to buy new springs too on top of the price of the shocks.

I can almost understand the rationale of "big bore" shocks on 1/8 scale buggies and truggies racing in 30 minute to one hour mains. That's a lot of pounding to dampen. However, on 1/10 buggies racing a 6 minute main and weighing about a third of the weight????????
Really! The velvet shocks are more than enough for the 6 minutes.
However, I would rather spend my money on track time than big bores.
I would have to agree, I just cant see much of a gain, as the velvets are good already. I have seen 1/8 buggies converted up to big bores, and really no difference other than durability. They do look cool though--but Kevin, where is the red bling, still at the anodizing shop? Now that being said, more durable plastic shock tops--now that might be something--![]()
